If You Like : Run and The Blast events, basically a variety of bass heavy skanking in every room.
To coincide delightfully well with Upfest, Bristol’s yearly street art and graffiti festival, a trio of big name event promoters come together to throw the 2017 Sequences festival.
The Blast holds up the front yard at Motion, with some good live flavours.
First being Kojo Funds, an East London rapper with grime and dancehall beats.
He’s worked alongside DJ Clipz alias Redlight, but check out this off his soundcloud for a his personal vibes.
Second, a slick afrobeats group Belly Squad fresh out of the underground.
The Blast pulls out the headliners Chase and Status for a DJ set.
Not as live as some of the others on stage, but can you blame the duo for just wanting to play out what you love?
Expect the Warehouse to be ramped up with Neurofunk and Tech drum and bass from when you get there til when you leave.
Critical music are putting on a strong line up with head man Kasra and Mefjus. There’ll hopefully be a treat in store with a back to back slot including Bladerunner, Serum and Voltage.
All on a Void sound system, so you know it’ll be tumping.
Sir Spyro ought to lay down a decent set in the crane yard but the stage hosts Bandulu have also booked more live acts such as Killa P, Roll Deep member Flowdan and Rider Shafique.
The latter has previously worked together with a strong dub producer Ishan Sound, also playing the stage and someone to look out for.
There’ll be a good host of other dj’s playing on the stage too to help keep the bassline on point throughout.
